MBS and the Prisoner's Dilemma

The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma (Book #3)
by Trenton Lee Stewart
391 pages
Fiction – Young Adult

This final book in the MBS trilogy was amazing - the best of the series! I'm sad to see this trilogy end! A blackout unexpectantly engulfs the town of Stonetown. Reynie, Kate, Sticky and Constance must band together one last time to solve riddles, uncover clues and save the day.

This book felt more natural than the other books. I didn't have to suspend disbelief to enjoy it. And, there was no boring build up to endure before the book became interesting. It was interesting and enjoyable from the first page! I read it easily in a few days without trying. The last hundred pages were especially hard to put down. I stayed up way too late reading!

I loved the character developments in this book. The ending was rewardingly happy and bittersweet.

RECOMMENDED FOR: Middle school children and up. Younger advanced readers may also want to try it! Adults who enjoy YA will enjoy this series. It is comparable to Harry Potter, but less dark and violent.
